Whole anise are small, ovoid, grayish/green/brown seeds with pedicles attached from the fruit of Pimpinella anisum. Their aroma and flavor is powerfully sweet, aromatic, warm, fruity and camphoraceous. Often used in cakes, biscuits and confectionery, as well as rye breads. It is similar to fennel and can be used to flavor fish, poultry, soups and root vegetable dishes.

STORAGE
To preserve natural flavor, store in a cool, dry area in sealed containers for shelf life of up to 18 months from date of manufucture without loss of flavor and/or functionality.
