Karlsburger® Xtra-Fine Crab Base features the delicately seasoned flavor of natural crabmeat sautéed in butter. Xtra-Fine Crab Base is derived from sautéed crab meat with various seasonings that is concentrated to form a smooth paste-like substance. The product is soluble in water. The paste is light in color and has a savory crab aroma.
USAGE
- Soups, Sauces, or Entrees
- Enhance the flavor of seafood stuffing, crab cakes, crab imperial and croquettes
- Mix directly into softened cream cheese, butter or sour cream for crab spreads and dips
- Enhance recipes with a natural crab flavor
PREPARATION
Add base to boiling water, stir to dissolve.

8 ounces base / 2.5 gallons water
1 pound base / 5 gallons water
STORAGE
To preserve natural flavor, refrigerate after opening. Store in a cool, dry area for shelf life of up to one (1) year without loss of flavor.
