Karlsburger® Xtra-Fine Ham Base is derived from cooking smoked ham with various seasonings and then concentrated to form a smooth paste-like substance. This paste-like product consists of finely ground meat, is soluble in water and has a rich caramel brown color.
USAGE
- Soups, Sauces, Gravies or Entrees
- Enhance recipes with a smokey ham flavor
PREPARATION
Add base to boiling water, stir to dissolve.
4 ounces base / 5 quarts water
8 ounces base / 2.5 gallons water
1 pound base / 5 gallons water
STORAGE
To preserve natural flavor, refrigerate after opening. Store in a cool, dry area for shelf life of up to one (1) year without loss of flavor.
