Mushroom Bisque

Ingredients & Instructions

Ingredients:
  • 2-4 Tbs. Butter or Margarine
  • ½ c. Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 4 ½ oz. Can Sliced Mushrooms, drained
  • 1 4 ½ oz. Container Garlic & Herb Cream Cheese
  • 2 c. Half and Half or Milk
  • 1 c. Instant Mashed Potato Flakes
  • 1/8 tsp. Karlsburger Black Pepper
  • TO CREATE BROTH, COMBINE THE FOLLOWING TWO ITEMS:
  • 4 c. Hot Water
  • 1 Tbs. Karlsburger Chicken Base

Cooking Instructions:
In a large Sauce Pan, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add onion. Cook and stir 3-5 minutes or until tender. Increase heat to high. Add mushrooms. Cook and stir 3-5 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half. Stir in broth. Bring to a boil. Add cheese, half and half, potato flakes, salt and pepper. Cook and stir just until cheese is melted and mixture is thoroughly heated. Reduce heat of necessary. Do Not Boil. Garnish option: Add fresh Chives and or Garlic croutons.
