Karlsburger Oriental Pork Soup

Ingredients & Instructions

Ingredients:
  • ½ oz. Vegetable Oil
  • 1 lb Pork, Lean, Boneless, sliced
  • 1 Gal. Hot Water
  • 4 oz. Karlsburger Pork Base
  • 1 8 oz. Can Sliced Water Chestnuts, drained
  • 8 oz. Mushrooms, fresh sliced
  • 4 oz. Red Pepper, sliced
  • 2 oz. Spinach, sliced
  • 2 oz. Green Onions
  • ½ c. Soy Sauce
  • ¼ tsp. Ground Ginger (optional)

Cooking Instructions:
In a large heavy skillet, brown pork until well done; about 15-20 minutes. Remove pork from pan and set aside. In a heavy 8 qt. sauce pan, combine all ingredients including cooked pork. Heat to boiling over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve hot garnished with shredded green onions. Yield 1 Gal and 3 c. or approx 25 – 6oz servings.
