Recipe Description
Pronounced Sauce Bordelaise(bohr-dl-ayz) is a variation of a classic French brown sauce. This sauce tastes best with steak but is also delicious on all grilled, roasted and broiled meats.Ingredients & Instructions
Ingredients:- 2 c. Dry Red Wine
- 4 oz. Shallots, minced
- 1 Karlsburger Bay Leaf
- 2 Sprigs of Thyme
- 2 qts. Prepared Karlsburger Veal Demi Glace
- 2 oz. Butter
Cooking Instructions:
In a saucepan over medium heat, add wine and reduce by ¾. Add shallots, Karlsburger Bay Leaf thyme, and prepared Karlsburger Veal Demi Glace Simmer for 30 minutes. Strain sauce, return to sauce pan over medium heat, add butter and mix in until incorporated. Remove from heat and serve.
